Our foundation
We are Julia Osukh and Natasha Yarchenko.
Born and raised in Ukraine, we live almost half of our lives in the Netherlands.
Our world and our hearts have been divided all these years.
In the early morning of February 24 we
received a shocking message, now our Ukrainian part is on fire. Our hearts are
filled with sorrow and fear for our loved ones. Together with our men we work
with all our might to help and support them, the pain is enormous,
unbearable...
We are very happy that we are safe here and
that our children can live in peace. It seems so surreal that life can go on
here in the Netherlands. We are happy about this, but at the same time our
hearts are broken even more by the realization that our loved ones, our country
has been deprived of the right to continue as we do here.
With our foundation we want to help as
small-scale and targeted as possible, without bureaucratic obstacles. People,
volunteers and organizations that we know personally, who are in acute need. We
know personally where the money goes.
Through our reliable contacts in Ukraine and
in Europe we want to offer help to:
- Families in need in Ukraine through
financial support for shelter, basic necessities, etc;
- Families who have fled from Ukraine through
financial support for housing, basic necessities, integration etc
- Organizations and agencies in Ukraine, such
as:
o Volunteer organizations;
o Hospitals and other healthcare
institutions;
o Schools, orphanages, sports and exercise
and other institutions and organizations for children;
o Organization and agencies that help the
elderly and lonely people;
With your contribution the suffering will be
alleviated and with your help our beautiful homeland Ukraine can recover and
build a future!!
Horrible what's going on, fear of what's to
come...
It is impossible to describe what you feel
when you read messages from your family and friends from Kharkiv, Kyiv,
Mykolayiv, Kherson and Odessa that they have been awakened by the explosions and
artillery shots…. Their world has collapsed, there is no past and no future…
everything has come to a standstill… Disbelief and anger, fear and fear for
their children, for their future, for the future of their country.
How do you comfort your child during bombings
who says "Mommy, I don't want to die"?...
Many have to flee to save their children.
Many stay where they are because they can't get out due to being cut off and/or
there is no safe route to get out. Many stay because it is simply their
home….
All these people need urgent help and will
continue to need help to rebuild their homes for the foreseeable future.
Ukrainians have already proven that they are very strong and form a great unit.
With the help and support of the whole world and from you they will certainly
succeed! But first the war must stop as soon as possible!
